Goodman Canada Receives Reliance “Supplier of the Year” Award

Goodman Manufacturing, Canada has received the “Supplier of the Year Award” from Reliance Home Comfort™ during their National Conference on January 15 and 16, 2015 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Paul Slinger, Vice President of Operations for Reliance presented the award to Steve Saunders, Divisional President of Goodman Manufacturing, Canada. The award reflects Goodman’s excellence as Reliance’s supplier partner, regularly providing outstanding customer service and outperforming competing suppliers on a number of fronts. The award goes to a single supplier each year. While Goodman has won it before, this year’s award represents a special effort. 2014 was a difficult year for Canadian air conditioning contractors and suppliers, with overall nationwide sales down 20% over the prior year.

Despite that, Goodman sales with Reliance were up over 20% in 2014. As a supplier to Reliance since 1999, Goodman has provided well over 100,000 furnaces and air conditioning units in that time. “We are proud of our association with Reliance,” says Saunders. “They are our largest customer in Canada and we’re ecstatic about receiving this award from them. I want to recognize my team, including Claudio Spinosa, National Accounts Manager for Canada, and Jarrad Teado, our Account Representative for Reliance. They did a terrific job.”
